About the Ensemble
Nomi Cohen
Since graduating from the National Academy of Singing and Dramatic Arts in 2012 and The Actor’s Program in 2013, Nomi has worked on numerous projects both on and off the stage. Most recently, Nomi appeared in the Auckland season of Chess The Musical, directed by Jeremy Hinman.
As a cabaret artist, she has created numerous projects including her 2016 Short+Sweet Cabaret PUSS which took home three awards then returned in 2018 to sold-out houses as a part of the New Zealand International Comedy Festival. Nomi is the creator of the highly successful What The Quiz Is This?!, a musical pub quiz that played to sold-out houses in the 2021 Backyard Buskers Festival, and she is a regular host at the secret Piano Bar for the Auckland Live Cabaret Season.
Dea Doglione
Dea studied at both the National Academy of Singing and Dramatic Art, as well as the acclaimed Tāmaki Makaurau school The Actors’ Program. Her highlights include An Evening of Rogers & Hammerstein, The Collective by Jean Betts, and boutique shows for under 5s with Cubbin Theatre Company. She can next be seen in The Court Theatre’s upcoming production of Jane Austen’s Sense & Sensibility.
Jess Rogers
Jess Rogers is a singer/entertainer based in Auckland, and regularly entertains at events and in theatre productions. After completing her Musical Theatre training in London and returning home to New Zealand, Jess has been working full-time in the performing arts industry. Her most recent credits include the New Zealand Premiere and National Tour of Shrek The Musical and Madagascar The Musical.
She is also a member of the vocal trio ‘The Madeleines’ a vintage vocal trio who perform music at events and private functions and have performed at the Napier Art Deco Festival, Auckland Live Cabaret Season, Waiheke Jazz Festival and will appear as guest entertainment on a P&O cruise ship later this year.
Heather Wilcock
Heather studied Musical Theatre at The New York Film Academy in Manhattan, and since graduating, has performed some of the most demanding roles in musical theatre which include Elphaba (Wicked), Cathy (The Last Five Years), Wendla (Spring Awakening), Tracy Turnblad (Hairspray) and Eva Peron (Evita). Most recently, Heather played Florence in Chess The Musical.
This performance is part of the Auckland Live Morning Melodies 2022 season.
