Where can I park near Auckland Stadiums?

Public parking is limited at Auckland Stadiums. Traffic can also be a challenge for big events, with tens of thousands of people arriving at the same time.

We recommend driving to a train or bus station and getting a train or bus to the stadium.

Free public transport is often available for big events at Mt Smart Stadium and Western Springs Stadium. Visit Auckland Transport’s events page to see if public transport is included with your event ticket.

Where can I find out what roads are closed?

There are several transport projects in development around Aotea Arts Quarter as the city prepares for the City Rail Link (CRL) and the new Aotea Station. This includes changes to Wellesley Street for improved bus access and a people focused midtown.

We encourage you to factor in extra travel time if you are driving into the city or consider using public transport. The Auckland Transport Journey Planner will help you plan public transport across bus, train and ferry in Auckland.
