Bring your yoga gear, move your body and quieten your mind in the heart of the Auckland CBD.
At Awhi Yoga and Wellbeing we feel te ao Māori and the ancient teachings of yoga blend beautifully to create a framework for wellbeing. Both philosophies teach us that everything starts with our individual wellness. This leads us to better relationships with others, a clearer purpose in life and a greater connection to the world around us. Join Jase Te Patu, (Ngāti Apa, Ngāti Ruanui, Ngāti Tūwharetoa), winner of the Mind/Body Teacher of the Year at the NZ Exercise Awards 2018, for an all-levels, gentle flow.
Jase Te Patu has been teaching in the health and wellness sector for 27-years, with his life’s work leading him to share yoga, meditation and mindfulness. Co-owner of Awhi Yoga and Wellbeing, a teacher trainer, facilitator, keynote speaker and creator of M3-Mindfulness, Jase’s students include the All Blacks, the Hurricanes, Pulse, NZ School of Dance and many more high-performance athletes. Yoga has been a beautiful space to utilise all the tools in Jase’s kete and he’s intent on sharing it all through the lens of hauora and te ao Māori.
In addition, join Tempo and Atawhai Festival for WHĀ: Hauora Sunrise Conversation- an insight into how dancers might embed a practice of holistic wellness into tinana (physical health), wairua (spiritual health), hine ngaro (mental health) and whānau (relational health).
