Dr Christopher Longhurst – who conducted the Michelangelo: A Different View VIP tours – returns to lead this experience. Chris has worked as an Operatore Didattico (Museum Educator) in the Vatican Museums, providing educational services in the papal art galleries, Sistine Chapel and basilicas across Italy!
Join Chris as he delves into the artist's history, mythology, portraiture, religion and beauty in this all-embracing multimedia space. This is an experience you can’t miss and tickets are selling out!

The VIP experience runs from 5.15pm – 7pm

VIP ticket holders will meet at 5pm at the entry to the exhibition in The Civic

The experience starts with a 30-minute live, unscripted presentation before entering the gallery space for a 40-minute immersive experience

About Renaissance: The Age of Genius Exhibition
Direct from Europe, Renaissance: The Age of Genius is an immersive experience of colour and movement that will transport you on an awe-inspiring journey through the art of the 15th and 16th Centuries.
There will be 10 high-powered projectors wrapping around 3 sides on The Civic stage and a powerful server synchronizes thousands of images and transforms the gallery space into one display of impressive magnitude that makes the legendary artworks of these masters come alive.

About Dr Christopher Longhurst
Dr Christopher Longhurst is an aesthete who has worked onsite in Florence and Rome leading educational tours of the masterworks of our ten Renaissance artists, exploring their history, lives and relationships. He holds a doctorate in Theological Aesthetics summa cum laude from the Pontifical Angelicum University, Rome. Chris will bring together the masterpieces of our ten Renaissance masters with their history, mythology, portraiture, religion and beauty in this all-embracing multimedia space.
