The supercalifragilisticexpialidocious musical, Mary Poppins, has delighted audiences around the world and will now be seen in a stunning, all-new New Zealand-produced season this October.
The magical story of the world's favourite nanny is triumphantly and spectacularly brought to the stage with dazzling choreography, incredible effects and unforgettable songs. Brilliantly adapted from the wonderful stories by PL Travers and the original film, Mary Poppins the musical is co-created by Cameron Mackintosh, with a book by Academy Award-winning screenwriter and Downton Abbey creator, Julian Fellowes.
With a timeless score by Richard M Sherman and Robert B Sherman, including the classic songs ‘Jolly Holiday’, ‘Step in Time’, ‘Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious’ and ‘Feed the Birds’ with new songs and additional music and lyrics, including ‘Practically Perfect’, by the Olivier Award-winning British team of George Stiles and Anthony Drewe.

During COVID-19 Level 2 restrictions, some adjustments were made to the performance schedule for Mary Poppins at The Civic
First and foremost, thank you for purchasing tickets to see The Amici Trust’s production of Mary Poppins – The Broadway Musical. Our cast and crew are all waiting in the wings with great anticipation to bring Mary Poppins to life on The Civic stage.
The full season has now been rescheduled to open on Friday, 16 October and run through to Sunday, 1 November.
Rest assured if the new dates as advised by Ticketmaster don't work for you, you'll be entitled to a full refund.
Customers who had purchased tickets for performances between 2 and 15 October should have been sent a communication from Ticketmaster confirming their new date/s and details on how to obtain a refund for those who are no longer able to attend.
Any affected ticket holders who have not received this communication, should contact Ticketmaster at via this link or call 0800 111 999
Customers with tickets for performances between 16 and 18 October are unaffected by the date changes.
