For centuries we have remained connected through voice and text, in the face of impossible distance. Long Distance Phone Calls is an evening of poetry that reminds us of the oratory ability to collapse physical space.

Programmed by Vanessa Crofskey and MC'd by Grace Taylor (Full Broken Bloom, Afakasi Speaks), the show features some of Auckland's best writers including Manu Vaea (FAFSWAG), Kyla Dela Cruz (Mouth:Tongue:Teeth), Stevie Davis-Tana (South Auckland Poet's Collective), Phodiso Dintwe (Rising Voices), the girls of Ngā Puna O Waiōrea (Word - The Frontline Interschool Slam Champions 2018) and renowned performance poet Carrie Rudzinski.
