Auckland's grandest and most cherished holiday tradition, the Farmers Santa Parade, is back on Sunday the 24 of November, for its 91st year, marking the official start of the Christmas season.
As the largest annual community event in Auckland, the Farmers Santa Parade promises a day filled with enchantment and joy for all ages. The parade has delighted locals and visitors alike for generations, marking this as a much-anticipated holiday and family tradition.
The Farmers Santa Parade is more than just an event; it's a cultural and treasured Christmas icon that unites people from all backgrounds and cultures. With over 4,000 participants, performers, and dedicated volunteers, this parade represents the heart and soul of Auckland, bringing people together to celebrate the wonder and magic of the season.
Organisers encourage families to come and experience the unbridled joy and glorious nostalgia, that attending this very special celebration delivers.
Save the date for this wonderful Parade and catch the Big Man in Red as he makes his way through the streets of Auckland.
But the fun doesn’t end there. After the Parade keep the excitement going at Santa’s Party in Aotea Square, with incredible stage entertainment, including the Bluey & Bingo Live Christmas Experience, a LEGO® build activation, amusement rides, delicious food, and activities for the whole family.

Road Closures
All inner-city roads are closed between 11am and 5pm on Sunday 24 November 2024. People are advised to get into the city before 11am.
Public Transport
Get to the city centre this Sunday for the Farmers Santa Parade by bus, train, or ferry. Kids under 13 travel for free, but over 5s will need a registered HOP card. Please note, that no flags at height or balloons are permitted on the train. Visit AT.govt.nz/events to find out more.
