Direct from New York and celebrating their 25th anniversary, Complexions Contemporary Ballet returns to Auckland with their distinctive brand of passion, skill and pure physicality.

Performing their acclaimed work Bach to Bowie, sixteen of Complexions phenomenal dancers, led by world renowned choreographer Dwight Rhoden and dance virtuoso Desmond Richardson, will take to The Civic stage for a week of breath-taking performances.
 

Bach to Bowie is set across in two acts: 

Bach 25 (35 minutes)
A sublime fusion of contemporary dance and ballet technique. Bach 25 exquisitely showcases the company’s technical perfection, musicality and versatility.  

Star Dust (42 min) 
A dazzling homage to the iconic and chameleon spirit of David Bowie, fusing some of his greatest hits to create a rock-inspired ballet in Bowie’s honour. The music includes ‘Space Oddity’, ‘Heroes’, ‘Young Americans’, ‘Life on Mars’, ‘Let’s Dance’ and more.
