Calling all Asian Creatives of Tāmaki Makaurau!
Following a tumultuous few years, building community is critical now more than ever. Gearing up for a new year with fresh takes and new insight, Oryza is launching Asian Diaspora Dialogues (ADD). ADD is an emergent platform harnessing innovation, co-design and creativity to celebrate the talent and rich storytelling of our Asian creative communities across Aotearoa.
For one day, over kai and kōrero, three conversational panels will be presented that cover artistic practice, placemaking, and creative leadership.
In the wake of Te Taumata Toi-a-Iwi and Rosabel Tan’s report Enter The Multiverse (Asian arts practitioners report 2022), let's aspire to put our minds and spirits together, to pave the way for more powerful stories using our own voices. This hui aims to spark crucial dialogue and kickstart a collective.
The event is open to creative practitioners of ALL Asian descent - from Turkey to Japan, Eastern Russia to Indonesia - and across the spectrum of all creative practices.
We warmly welcome your invaluable participation at this rare opportunity to gather.
This event is proudly supported by Auckland Live.
