The ‘Organ Symphony’ is justly loved for its terrific melodies and, not least, for the spectacular contribution of the organ. It is such a warhorse, though, that it’s very easy to overlook how ingeniously it is constructed. Taking us through the piece, Marija Naumovska reveals Saint-Saëns’ endless inventiveness.
