Join us in acknowledging the UN International Day of Persons with Disabilities for 2024 by heading to the Through the Roof Inclusive Youth Arts Festival 2024. This two-day festival features workshops, performances, and a glitzy film premiere event.

What's happening on Friday:

Friday is all about learning new skills in the performing arts. With accessible music, dance, visual arts and circus workshops, a sensory journey and a special screening room that’ll show a selection of our youth films. Come and join us for a magical day of learning for free. Bring yourself, bring your school or kura and be prepared for a day of fun-filled performing arts. This event will run from 10am to 3pm.

What's happening on Saturday:

On Saturday, we celebrate the unique and diverse talents of young people from Glass Ceiling Arts Collective’s youth programmes. We’ll set off with performances from our youth theatre groups, so be prepared to be wowed by the incredible talents of our performers, who always steal the show! This will be followed by the much-anticipated screening of our youth films for 2024. Devised and created by our youth participants, this year’s films are set to give you the warm fuzzies as rangatahi get to tell their stories their way. Topped off by a glitzy red carpet event that is nothing short of Oscar-worthy, where our youth crew get to dance the night away to a DJ, this will definitely be a night to remember!

Other information:

Friday Workshops - please note that some workshops have limited capacity per session and are offered on a first-come, first-served basis. However, there are plenty of other workshops for you to explore while you wait for the next session.

Walk-ups - non-ticket holders are welcome to come to the venue on the day of the event and if there is space available, you will be admitted at the discretion of the Ushers, even after ticket allocation is exhausted.
