Accessibility Virtual Tour

Take a virtual tour through our iconic venues: Aotea Centre, Auckland Town Hall, Bruce Mason Centre, The Civic, Shed 10, The Cloud, and Viaduct Events Centre!

The tour provides a virtual pathway through the venue, using easy, navigational tools to assist with wayfinding. Including 3D images of the venues, colour-coded pathways for patrons depending on the level of mobility, and step counts to key areas such as wheelchair seating, box offices, bathrooms, and lifts.

Drop-Off Zones

Aotea Centre: 

Kiri Te Kanawa Theatre, Aotea Centre: This venue can be accessed internally from Level 1 of the Civic Car Park.
Herald Theatre: 50 Mayoral Drive, outside the Aotea Centre Stage Door, next to the Herald Theatre's main entrance.

 

Auckland Town Hall: 

Directly outside the Auckland Town Hall on Queen Street, close to the main entrance. 

 

The Civic: 

Accessibility drop off - corner of Bledisloe Lane and Wellesley Street West (approximately 75 metres) 

 

Bruce Mason Centre: 

A dedicated drop-off zone is located just up from the main entrance, running parallel with Killarney Street. This can be accessed from either Killarney Street or The Promenade. 

 

Shed 10: 

Drop-off point is located at the roundabout to the left of Shed 10 on Queens Wharf. 

 

The Cloud: 

Drop off-point is located at the roundabout to the right of The Cloud on Queens Wharf

 

Viaduct Events Centre: 

Located to the left of the main entrance, where an accessible car park is also located for patrons with accessibility needs.

To access the drop-off point, please drive down the wharf past the end of the building, turn around and come back up towards the entrance and drop-off adjacent to the accessible carpark.


Accessibility Seating

Aotea Centre: 

Kiri Te Kanawa Theatre, Aotea Centre: There is accessible seating on Level 2. These can be accessed from the Stalls Foyer (seats X8 – X10, and X25 – X32). 

Herald Theatre: The accessible seats in Herald Theatre are K1 – K4. 

 

Auckland Town Hall: 

The accessibility seating for most shows are located in the Great Hall and Concert Chamber Stalls level.

For some Great Hall events, the accessibility seats will be in the Circle. Please check your tickets. 

 

The Civic: 

Accessibility seating in The Civic is located in the Stalls level, accessible via the lift on level 3 

 

Bruce Mason Centre: 

Accessibility seating in Bruce Mason Centre is located in the Stalls level (accessible from door A and door B). 
 


Accessible Toilets

Aotea Centre: 

There are accessibility toilets located in the Hunua Rooms on Level 1 next to the main doors, Stalls Foyer on level 2 by the Stalls Bar, the Circle Foyer on level 3 near Door F to the Kiri Te Kanawa Theatre, the Limelight foyer on Level 3 next to the Limelight rooms, the Waihorotiu Foyer on Level 4 and the Balcony Foyer on level 5 by the elevator.

 

Auckland Town Hall: 

Auckland Town Hall has an accesibility toilet located on the Stalls level, beside the main bar and the VIP rooms. 

 

The Civic: 

The Civic has accessibility toilets on level 2 (Stalls level) 

 

Bruce Mason Centre: 

There are 2 accessibility toilets, which are located in the main foyer, on the main floor, and another one on level 4, near the conference rooms. 
 

Shed 10: 

Shed 10 has accessible toilets on both Ground Floor and Level 1. These can be located at either end of the Venue on the opposite side of the accessible lifts.

 

The Cloud: 

The Cloud has accessible toilets located throughout the Exhibition Floor and Lower Mezzanine. On the Exhibition Floor, there are 3 separate accessible toilet blocks. In the Lower Mezzanine, there is an accessible toilet located next to the accessible lift.

 

Viaduct Events Centre: 

There are accessible toilets located on Level 1 behind the accessible lift, and on Level 2 and 3 near the top of the escalators.


Emergency Exits

In event of an emergency, patrons with accessibility needs will be assisted by trained staff to assembly areas or places of safety.
